This is one of the most common questions I am asked... Could you recommend some yoga music? Absolutely, here you'll find a compilation of my go to music!
I play mostly instrumental, devotional and calming music in my classes and Yoga Therapy sessions as I find it to be the most organic pairing with my teaching style. However, in my home practice I often groove and flow to more upbeat mainstream music. The best is when the music I play leads to some spontaneous dancing or a deep state of zen. When selecting music for your yoga practice pick something that speaks to your heart or adds a balancing element. For example, some music energizes while other music calms. Some music makes your mind active while others promotes relaxation. Pay attention to how music affects you when your practicing! At times, the best music for yoga practice is none at all. There is something so peaceful about the sounds of the wind rustling in the trees, rain falling or even the quiet steadiness of your house.

...A great compilation CD is called: Namaste II and it contains my most sought after song by students: Baba Hanuman.
